Wilderness Place Lodge

Our Alaska fishing lodge offers modern deluxe private cabins, the best of Alaska river fishing, fine dining, friendly people and the best customer service you will find. Wilderness Place Lodge is a deluxe Alaska fishing lodge accommodationg 16 guests hosted by 15 caring staff. Comfort, courtesy, fine food, attentive guides and excellent fishing combine to maximize your experience. Our native log lodge features a full commercial kitchen, dining room, wooden lodge bar featuring local Alaskan microbrews and fine wines, complimentary fly tying table and lounge area.

Our main lodge building is where you can relax after your day on the water fishing. It is true Alaskan ambience; definitely not "hotelish," ...no drywall and no fabricated modern construction here. The lodge is beautiful with all natural Alaska pine and sitka spruce, well-crafted and what you would expect out of a deluxe Alaska fly in fishing lodge. Many large outside decks allow for additional lounge space with river and forest views. Our in-camp staff of 8 is happy to serve you! Have a local microbrew or glass of wine and try your hand at fly tying. Beer and wine are on the house! We have a great selection of Alaska literature and we even have WiFi internet. (for those who want to "unplug," forget we mentioned that). There is always something cooking in the kitchen under the skillful hands of our professional chef team. Our kitchen is open-air, so feel free to come on in, observe and visit. We love good coffee! Alaska's own Silverhook Kodiak blend coffee is always on in the main lodge. Enjoy a great cup of coffee with fresh baked goods or our famous Wilderness Place Lodge cookies. Our goal is to make you feel at home at our lodge. We do everything possible to make your stay just as enjoyable off the water as it is on.

Private Deluxe Guest Cabins

• 6 private deluxe cabins just off the river on our 10 acre private, forested property
• Full electricity, bath, vanity and shower within
• Modern, knotty pine or log cabins with local framed photos
• Extremely comfortable memory foam mattresses!
• Well-insulated with electric or wood stove heating source
• Large decks with lounge chairs
• Very close proximity to the river and main lodge

Our fishing lodge has six deluxe cabins, all with full electricty, heat, wireless internet and all the comforts of home. One log cabin is located on the banks of Lake Creek and five knotty-pine interior frame cabins are located a short distance from the river's edge. The cabins are heated with woodstove or electric heat, decorated with local artwork, and are equipped to offer each guest a comfortable, deluxe Alaskan accommodation. Daily housekeeping service with fresh towels is provided and we do have clothes washer/dryer facilities for the use of our guests. Our deluxe cabins offer either single or queen beds with full bath facilities within. Two deluxe cabins house 4 fishing guests each , two deluxe cabins house 3 guests each and two cabins house 2 guests. All but one cabin has a combination of queen and twin beds with new, comfortable mattresses.

I think in another section on this page we mentioned we love good coffee. Well, we do and likewise we love great food! We are blessed to have such a talented chef team here at Wilderness Place Lodge. We are also thrilled that we have such a wide selection of great local seafood, fresh produce and a wide array of the very best culinary delicacies shipped by float plane daily from Anchorage. Our chefs create fresh food combinations daily and we seldom have the same recipe twice in a summer unless by popular demand. Lasty, as a small and personal lodge, we are able to go to the next level each day with respect to service and quality. Dine with us and experience just one more great reason why we are unique! Alaska fishing lodge location

Wilderness Place Lodge is located in the heart of the Susitna valley, 80 air miles Northwest of Anchorage, Alaska on Lake Creek. Lake Creek is a freestone river system running 60 miles North to South from its source at Chelatna Lake on the southern border of Denali National Park.
