Alaska Trip Special: June, July Fishing Lodge + Fly-Out Float Combo Adventure

Wilderness Place Lodge, Guided Fishing, Fly-out Fishing Float Trip, Pioneer Cabin Visit, Scenic Float Plane Flights

Combine a stay at Wilderness Place Lodge, a visit to the Historic Pioneer Cabin Outpost and a fishing-focused raft float for the ultimate river adventure!

Experience one of the most diverse early-summer fishing trips in Alaska at Wilderness Place Lodge. This two- to four-night fly-in package combines guided river fishing for native rainbow trout and Arctic grayling, exciting topwater fishing for northern pike, a scenic visit to our Pioneer Cabin lake outpost and a guided five-mile raft float through the Alaska wilderness.

Available from June 10 through July 10, 2027, this small-group adventure is designed for couples, families and friends who want more than a traditional lodge stay. Every day brings a different setting, from clear freestone river channels and quiet lake country to fireside shore lunches and scenic floatplane flights over Southcentral Alaska.

Why Visit Alaska in June?

June and early July are among our favorite times of the season. Long days and nearly 24 hours of usable daylight create more time to fish, explore and enjoy the lodge. The river is alive with native rainbow trout and Arctic grayling, while nearby lakes offer aggressive northern pike that can be targeted with topwater flies and lures.

Why This Alaska Adventure Package Is So Unique:

Many Alaska vacation packages focus on only one activity — such as fishing, cruising, or sightseeing. This itinerary is different because it combines several of Alaska’s most iconic experiences into one professionally coordinated, all-inclusive adventure.

Guests experience:

  • Remote fly-in Alaska fishing lodge accommodations
  • Scenic floatplane transportation from Anchorage
  • Guided river fishing for multiple Alaska fish species
  • Fly-out wilderness float trips
  • Remote cabin outpost experiences
  • Helicopter glacier touring with glacier landing
  • Optional glacier dogsledding experience
  • Boutique Anchorage hotel accommodations
  • Gourmet dining and beverages
  • Personalized small-group hospitality

Unlike many luxury Alaska lodges charging premium nightly rates for fishing alone, this package bundles aviation, lodging, guided adventures, dining, transportation, and glacier excursions into one streamlined itinerary that delivers exceptional overall value.

A True Multi-Adventure Alaska Vacation

Remote Fly-In Alaska Fishing Lodge Experience

Your adventure begins with a scenic floatplane flight from Anchorage aboard Rust’s Flying Service to remote Wilderness Place Lodge in Alaska’s wild Susitna Valley. Guests enjoy guided fishing, wilderness exploration, deluxe private cabins, and chef-prepared meals in one of Alaska’s most scenic remote settings.

The package includes guided fishing opportunities for species such as:

  • Rainbow Trout
  • Arctic grayling
  • Northern pike

Both fly fishing and spin fishing are supported, making the package ideal for beginners and experienced anglers alike.

Exclusive Fly-Out Pioneer Cabin Adventure

One of the most memorable elements of the itinerary is the fly-out excursion to the remote Pioneer Cabin Outpost. Guests fly by floatplane to a secluded wilderness lake cabin where they enjoy shore lunch, optional kayaking, hiking, and a guided float trip back toward the lodge through pristine Alaska wilderness.

This combination of aviation, remote cabin exploration, river floating, and guided fishing is exceptionally rare in packaged Alaska vacations and creates a true off-grid Alaska experience.
