Wilderness Place Lodge is located 70 miles Northwest of Anchorage, Alaska accessible only by float plane. Round-trip float plane service is included as part of all of our trip packages. The lodge is nestled in the western Susitna Valley on the banks of Lake Creek, a clear water river that runs 60 miles from its source near the southern border of Denali National Park.
We offer a diversity of inclusive wilderness experiences. We offer all-inclusive fishing lodge packages for any duration stay. Our fishing trips feature spin and fly fishing our river system for 5 species of Alaska salmon, rainbow trout and arctic grayling. A nearby lake chain features top-water fishing for northern pike. In addition, we feature adventure packages that include a stay at the lodge bundled with other destinations, activities and experiences. Our trip packages are flexible as you can arrive and depart on any day of the week and stay for any duration. Our lodge-based fishing packages are all-inclusive, round-trip from Anchorage, Alaska. We include: round-trip float plane flight from Anchorage, private deluxe cabins with full bath, all meals on and off the water, all fishing gear (spin and fly), quality fishing waders and boots, personal guides (one per 2-3 fishermen), all beverages, local micro-brew beer, wine, etc.
Planning an Alaskan wilderness experience can be a bit daunting. It is best to first consider the demographics of your group, what activities they prefer and what physical limitations each member may have. What time of summer you visit us and what type of fishing and adventures you pursue will determine the regimen. We have special trip packages and venues that are ideal for most groups from families, to serious fly fishermen, kids, seniors, non-fishermen, hikers, photographers and paddlers. Our lodge has been a full-service fishing lodge since inception. Over the years we have had new demographics of guests including couples, families, kids, adventurers, photographers, nature-lovers and eco-tourists that have shown great interest in bundling other destinations and activities with their fishing and/or rafting experience while at Wilderness Place Lodge. Therefore we have created many unique adventure bundles to choose from. Or you can simply let us know exactly what you would like to do and we'll happily construct a custom package for you!
Our chef team of 3 provides three meals a day to all of our guests. They are eager to serve you the highest quality cuisine during your stay with us. You will be amazed by the food quality and service. For more information on the dining experience, please visit our lodge dining page. We send a secure online questionnaire to all of our guests prior to their stay, which includes dietary questions where you can disclose to us any dietary needs, allergies, etc. to us prior to your stay. The chef team takes into account your needs and adapts your meal plan accordingly.
After you have decided the ideal trip package for your group, the next step is to contact us so that we can confirm availability for your preferred travel dates. We will then draft up your custom trip itinerary and travel documents for your review. If you plan to move forward with a reservation, we require a 20% deposit to lock in dates. Our stay at Wilderness Place Lodge was beyond all we could have imagined. Immediately greeted by beauty and kindness, which continued the entire stay.
