Alaska salmon fishing is at its best at Wilderness Place Lodge! Our remote river system supports strong seasonal runs of all five Alaska (Pacific) salmon species. When you visit determines what species are available to target. Check out our available Fish Species for more information, fishing guides, gear and trip planning resources.

Beyond salmon, the rivers and streams around our lodge offer exceptional fishing for wild resident species. Guests regularly catch native Rainbow Trout throughout the summer months along with Arctic Grayling primarily during the month of June.
Rainbow trout in this region are known for their size, strength, and beauty. Many fish reach impressive sizes thanks to the rich food supply created by Alaska’s salmon runs.
Fly fishing enthusiasts particularly love Lake Creek for its ideal conditions, where trout aggressively feed on salmon eggs, flesh patterns, and insects throughout the season.
