Experience one of the most diverse early-summer fishing trips in Alaska at Wilderness Place Lodge. This two- to four-night fly-in package combines guided river fishing for native rainbow trout and Arctic grayling, exciting topwater fishing for northern pike, a scenic visit to our Pioneer Cabin lake outpost and a guided five-mile raft float through the Alaska wilderness.
Available from June 10 through July 10, 2027, this small-group adventure is designed for couples, families and friends who want more than a traditional lodge stay. Every day brings a different setting, from clear freestone river channels and quiet lake country to fireside shore lunches and scenic floatplane flights over Southcentral Alaska.
June and early July are among our favorite times of the season. Long days and nearly 24 hours of usable daylight create more time to fish, explore and enjoy the lodge. The river is alive with native rainbow trout and Arctic grayling, while nearby lakes offer aggressive northern pike that can be targeted with topwater flies and lures.
Wilderness Place Lodge is a highly reviewed, all-inclusive Alaska fishing lodge located on remote Lake Creek, approximately 70 air miles northwest of Anchorage. Our intimate lodge hosts a limited number of guests, allowing our staff and guides to provide a friendly, flexible and highly personalized experience.
After each day on the water, return to a private cabin, gather in our riverside log lodge and enjoy chef-prepared dinners in a relaxed wilderness setting. The package is designed to be easy from the moment you leave Anchorage: transportation, lodging, meals, guided fishing and equipment are all arranged for you.

Guests should be comfortable walking on hilly or uneven terrain, wading in moving water and boarding or deboarding floatplanes and rafts. Participants should be in good general health and able to safely take part in outdoor activities. The trip is generally suitable for children age eight and older, depending on ability and comfort level.
Your adventure begins with a scenic floatplane flight from Anchorage aboard Rust’s Flying Service to remote Wilderness Place Lodge in Alaska’s wild Susitna Valley.
